Montreal -- The world of bridge has been rocked with news that the silver medalist at recent championships in Montreal, Disa Eythorsdottir of Alabama, was stripped of her prize last week for refusing to take a doping test.

The World Federation of Bridge is determined to have the card game recognized as an Olympic sport, and so must apply International Olympic Committee doping rules in competitions.
