God keep our land

The latest word on religion from our census-takers has already begun to generate three main headlines. The first is that Canadians are increasingly opting for "no religion" (Atheism Growing Across Canada, declared the Toronto Star's Web site). The second is that growing numbers of Canadians are subscribing to major faiths other than Christianity. The third is that several "fringe religions" have grown markedly over the past decade.
