The government's duty to its gambling addicts

You will not see Lisa Dickert's face in the ubiquitous advertisements for government-owned casinos such as Casino Rama in Collingwood, Ont. "I was a recreational gambler. Then I became addicted and it ruined my life." No, not likely. The 37-year-old mother of two from Woodstock, Ont., serves as a reminder of an unhappy group -- the 2 to 4 per cent of gamblers whose habit may destroy their lives.
