Defence brings win for Canada

DAEGU, SOUTH KOREA -- Timely three-point shooting and some strong second-half defence led Canada to an 87-77 win over Bulgaria in men's basketball at the World University Games yesterday.Tied 39-39 at the half, Canada opened the third quarter with a 7-0 run, to extend its lead to 11 points midway through the period before Bulgaria guard Yordan Bozov scored 11 points during a two-minute span to pull his squad back within three.
