New species found in race to map oceans

They have found extinct undersea volcanoes that help shuttle fish from one side of the Atlantic Ocean to the other, ancient chemical reactions in the deep abyss and a giant squid with the arms of a jellyfish, but the first global census of marine life is racing against time to catalogue the remaining mysteries of the sea before humans destroy them.
