Jan. 11, 1934Marie and Wellie Chrétien announce the arrival of their 18th child, Jean, in La Baie Shawinigan, Que. The baby is small, but his ears are so big they flap in the wind, according to biographer Lawrence Martin. He is the eighth of nine surviving children born into this Liberal family.
