Stem-cell drug may help hearts

SCIENCE REPORTER

Canadian researchers have found that a drug that stimulates the production of stem cells in adults holds promise for patients who have suffered serious heart attacks.Doctors are so encouraged by the results that they will launch a larger study to determine whether the drug helps hearts grow new cells to replace damaged tissue.
