Quebec Liberals show true colours with leftist budget
Yves Séguin has just tabled the best budget the Parti Québécois never wrote. Mr. Séguin as much as said so himself on Tuesday: "It's a social democratic budget," the Quebec Finance Minister conceded, just before presenting a fiscal plan that attempts to disguise, in Orwellian fashion, a raft of new social spending as -- get this -- tax cuts.
