McGuilty discussion paper promises another broken promise
Shall we add another to the long list of broken promises?After reading the "consultation discussion paper" on the Ontario Municipal Board published by the McGuilty government this week, then checking it against the bold promises of reform contained in the now-yellowing Liberal election literature, the temptation to do so is strong. The many angry victims of this low-rent star chamber's opaque justice will be especially disappointed with the timid approach embodied in the new paper, which reads like a "discussion" but amounts to an extended plea for the status quo.
