Ontario art college takes architecture honour

Toronto -- The much-discussed elevated campus for the Ontario College of Art & Design was one of six buildings honoured this week with a Royal Institute of British Architects Worldwide Award. Designed by maverick British architect Will Alsop, the "Dalmatian-spotted" tabletop, raised on colourful stilts above a busy downtown Toronto street, was called "courageous, bold and just a little insane" by RIBA judges at a gala dinner in London Wednesday.
