There is a way to save our oceans - but is there a will?

The Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) recently unveiled its long-awaited "Oceans Strategy," the latest apparent effort to implement the Oceans Act passed in 1996. Minister Robert Thibault stated: "Our aim is to ensure that decisions about every activity in or around Canada's oceans are co-operative, environmentally and economically sustainable, and socially responsible."
