Pursuing happiness

Here's a revisionist idea: Maybe the pills aren't working.We are inundated with data about depression and antidepressants. We think and write continually about our own unhappiness. Since 1981, there has been a 353-per-cent increase in prescriptions for antidepressants in Canada, although the population has risen only 1 per cent each year. But we don't seem to be getting any happier.
