Chrétien's comments on joining Iraq war sow confusion
OTTAWA -- Jean Chrétien continued to spread confusion yesterday about his government's position on joining a war against Iraq.In the Commons yesterday, the Prime Minister appeared to rule out joining a U.S.-led "coalition of the willing" if the United Nations will not endorse an attack, but his staff insisted he had not shifted Canada's policy.
