Chrétien announces $60-million for Africa

Ottawa -- Canada will give $60-million to agricultural, health and children's projects in Africa, Prime Minister Jean Chrétien said yesterday.Mr. Chrétien said Canada will contribute $30-million to set up an agriculture research centre; $24-million to AIDS programs and to programs bringing together young Africans to address development issues, and $6-million to help children caught in wars.
