PM urges lasting health-care change

With reports from Dawn Walton in Calgary and Bruce Little in Toronto

WINNIPEG -- The federal government will offer more long-term health-care funding when Ottawa talks with provinces this summer about how to fix the health system, Prime Minister Paul Martin said yesterday, but his government will not amend the Canada Health Act and provinces must be willing to fundamentally change the way they deliver services.
