More than 240,000 Stones tickets sold

At least 240,000 tickets for the SARS benefit concert featuring the Rolling Stones have already been sold and promoters say total sales could reach nearly 600,000 when the tickets become available through a grocery store chain Friday. Liberal Senator Jerry Grafstein said yesterday that sales through Ticketmaster were so hot in Canada that the ticket broker set a single-day record by selling its entire 150,000-ticket Canadian allotment and then some.
