Top Canuck talent to appear on O'Brien tapings

Globe and Mail Update

As promised, Late Night with Conan O'Brien will have an impressive lineup of Canadian acting, music and comedy talent when the NBC-TV talk show tapes a week of shows in Toronto next month.

Among the home-grown but internationally famous guests announced so far are Mike Myers, Michael J. Fox and Will & Grace's Eric McCormack, as well as the bands Nickelback and Barenaked Ladies. Motor-mouthed funnyman Ron James (Blackfly) is also expected to get some major exposure. Adam Sandler will also appear, with more names to be announced later.

O'Brien's show is scheduled to broadcast from Toronto's historic Elgin Theatre Feb.10-13 as a roadshow event designed in part to give Toronto some major tourist exposure after last spring's devastating SARS outbreak.

Late Night airs on NBC in the U.S. and is simulcast on CHUM television stations in Canada.
