St. Petersburg, Fla. Pitcher David Bush will make his major league debut Friday night after the Toronto Blue Jays purchase his contract from triple-A Syracuse.
Bush is scheduled to start against Montreal in Puerto Rico. He replaces 1996 Cy Young Award winner Pat Hentgen, dropped from the rotation Wednesday.

Hentgen, 2-8 with a 6.42 ERA in 15 starts, will work in long relief.
The Blue Jays optioned reliever Mike Nakamura to Syracuse after Thursday's 14-0 win at Tampa Bay. He was 0-3 with a 7.43 ERA in 17 games.
Toronto will make an additional move Friday to open a spot on the 40-man roster for Bush.
