This documentary about a crew of five mentally handicapped adults who travel across America as a television team was produced, in part, by South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, which might set off a few alarm bells. In fact, it's a funny film, smartly edited to both take pleasure in the crew's talents and eccentricities and to use their presence as a kind of test of the many different sorts of people they meet. Some sequences are uncomfortable: There's a running bit, for example, with a man who cannot articulate words attempting to do on-the-street interviews with bewildered strangers. But other scenes are highly rewarding. The star of the show is Ronnie Simonsen, a celebrity obsessed man who's idol is Chad Everett and is delighted when he finds Chad's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. - L.L.
