Thursday, July 18 to Sunday July 21

Days in the Dioceses
Foreign participants travel to cities across Canada to be hosted by young Canadians and enjoy friendly gatherings - meals, parties, concerts

Monday, July 22

WYD participants arrive in the Greater Toronto Area, settle into their accommodations and meet the young people of Toronto who will host them along with local Churches and the entire community

Tuesday, July 23

Morning
Canada AM - 6:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.
Host Jeff Hutcheson visits Habitat for Humanity House, where youth from all over the world have volunteered their time and effort to build decent, affordable housing for the needy. This is just one of the community initiatives that makes up World Youth Day.

CTV Newsnet - LIVE simulcast, 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. ET
Lloyd Robertson, CTV Chief News Anchor heads up "THE POPE IN CANADA", a News Special with special guests as Pope John Paul II arrives at Pearson International Airport.

Opening Mass of Welcome
His Eminence Aloysius Cardinal Ambrozic, Archbishop of Toronto, will celebrate the Eucharist at Exhibition Place in Toronto at 5:00 p.m..

Opening Concert at Exhibition Place, featuring Canadian talent

Catecheses - times of prayer, discussion and reflection based on the teachings of bishops from around the world, followed by Mass

Host Lisa LaFlamme reports live from Exhibition Stadium in the hours leading up to the Pope's arrival. She will be joined by Canadian Cardinals, the World Youth Day choir and a group of Vatican experts.

• Walking pilgrimage to Downsview Lands
• Reconciliation at Downsview Lands

Evening Vigil
CTV Newsnet, LIVE, 6:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. ET
Sandra Jansen anchors coverage of the vigil with the Pope, bringing viewers the service, prayers, music, and a message from the Pope. The Pope will leave after the vigil, while youngsters who have congregated in Toronto, will sleep out overnight on the Downsview Lands.

Sunday, July 28

Papal Mass
CTV and CTV Newsnet LIVE, 9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Pope celebrates Mass at Downsview Lands for all members of the public. Lloyd Robertson anchors the coverage. Reporters Lisa LaFlamme and Anne-Marie Mediwake share the mood of visitors and worshippers and bring the latest news from the site throughout the morning.
